With only limited showing, Dun Gotta Gun has amassed a tremendous show record. This striking 1998 dun stallion has long been a crowd favorite with his phenomenal stop, big turn, and show presence.

In the fall of his three year old year, Dun Gotta Gun started off his show career in a big way by winning the Reserve Non Pro Futurity Championship at the 2001 SWRHA Futurity with Mandy McCutcheon in the saddle.

Then at the 2001 NRHA Non Pro Futurity, Dun Gotta Gun and Mandy were 4th in the first go and won the second go out of 155 entries. They then came back in the finals and tied to win the NRHA Non Pro Futurity. After a run off, they were named the Reserve Champions.

In 2002, Dun Gotta Gun continued his winning ways at the NRBC Non Pro Classic by winning the first go, and ending up in the top 20 in the finals. One month later at the 2002 NRHA Derby, Mandy and Dun Gotta Gun again made the finals and ended up 3rd out of 120 entries.

Not long after the Derby, Dun Gotta Gun was purchased by Jerry Kimmel of Texas.
